
Dr. Trisha Gadson is a community advocate, author, and storyteller dedicated to amplifying the voices and experiences of Black families. Her work—both in human services and philanthropy—focuses on empowering under-resourced communities, and her writing continues this mission by addressing important societal issues through powerful storytelling.
With a Ph.D. in community engagement and years of experience in leadership and advocacy, Dr. Gadson uses her stories to elevate conversations and inspire change. Whether writing for children or adults, her books explore themes of family, resilience, health, and community, offering narratives that educate, uplift, and connect.
Her books, Juni Loves Mom and The Battle is Not Yours, provide unique perspectives on navigating illness, breaking stigma, and the strength found in love and family bonds. Her upcoming novel, Thelma’s Legacy, will continue this tradition, delving into the impact of generational trauma and the power of self-discovery.
